I love breakfast cereal...but not for breakfast.  While it makes for a nice midday snack or fulfills my bedtime munchies, all those carbs just aren't enough to keep me going all day.  During the week we eat a lot of oatmeal (I love mine with butter, bananas, and a sprinkle of brown sugar, the kids like their toppings served in a condiment cup), with an occasional scrambled or soft-boiled egg, or french toast thrown in. 
Daddio's on weekend breakfast duty and fancies it up with a batch of sourdough pancakes or waffles, a big omelet, or scrambled eggs and scones.
