Remember Highlights Magazine? I still think of lessons I learned from Highlights (Okay, so I really just liked the 'find the hidden stuff' picture...I was more of a Goofus than Gallant!) and have looked forward to sharing the fun of the magazine with my own kids. Well, I shall wait no longer, since the editors of Highlight have just released High Five Magazine for kids too young for Highlights (2-6 years) but ready to play. Here's what the editors have to say about it:Highlights High Five® is the new magazine for preschoolers from Highlights for Children. Edited especially for children in early childhood, Highlights High Five is dedicated to helping parents, educators, and other caregivers set children firmly on the path to becoming curious, creative, caring, and confident individuals.
Each issue includes read-aloud fiction stories—including stories that introduce the Spanish language, a special Hidden Pictures® activity and other puzzles, age-appropriate crafts and cooking activities, poems and simple nonfiction, and finger plays and action rhymes.
Leave a comment on this post before noon on Tuesday, August 5 to be entered to win a subscription to High Five for the little one in your life! The winner will be chosen randomly on Wednesday August 6 and notified by email. If contact is not made within 7 days another winner will be chosen. Thanks for participating!
