Flossie Teacakes has a fabulous project making a sort of paper mache stained glass butterfly with tissue paper. You have to check it out! (via the Crafty Crow)
Marie from Make and Takes has a guest post on Design Mom for simple tissue paper butterflies. These would be suitable for pretty little kids (two?)
Wondertime has a silly little project to make a straw that lets kids drink like a butterfly. Josie will love this one, since for whatever reason she loves to say the word 'proboscis.'
The Science Museum of Minnesota has a lesson on symmetry based on butterfly wings, and a little printable project to create a butterfly that will balance on your finger. I liked this one because symmetry really seems to be a hard concept for young kids to grasp, but it's such an interesting concept.
